Saturday, Feburary 10th 2013

Today was a pretty good day when it came to work because it wasn't too busy but it wasn't too slow so I wasn't sitting around waiting to finally be able to stock something but at the same time I wasn't rushing around trying to fill a completely empty produce department. My friends who I haven't seen in a while came shopping so I was able to catch up with them a little bit while I was stocking the apples they were picking from. They told me that I look good with more meat on my bones and that the weight I've put on suits me well. They told me that it made me look like I had some muscle and that I should try to remain at the weight I'm at but that I should stop growing. I had a pretty good laugh at that because I was supposed to stop growing at 19 but I've gotten even taller recently after I turned 21.

After I got off work I found out that this group of musicians that go by the name Modestep released their first album ever today! I really love how talented they are at music but before today all they ever released was singles, which were great, but not as good as a whole CD of them is. They went back and remixed and remastered some of their singles to put on this CD and they turned out really good. I'd recommend the Zomboy remix of Sunlight which is one of my favorite songs by them.

I got to renew my X-Box Live membership and I'm currently downloading the new map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. I can't wait to finally try out the gun they released called the Peacekeeper. It just finished downloading and I really want to get to playing it so this is the end of this post!

If you followed my blog and are reading this post then I'd like to thank you for keeping up with my blog! If you just found my blog I'd also like to thank you for taking an interest in it! However, if you haven't found my blog yet then I guess it doesn't really matter if I thank you or not, does it?

This is my public blog.

So, I've recently gotten back into blogging and I find that this time I truly enjoy it. I have a private blog but I plan on making this one my public blog. My private blog is more about my personal life, past and present, so if I haven't given you the link to my private blog please do not ask me for it.

Seeing as this is the first post on this blog I'm going to use it as a way to introduce myself to you, the reader. My full name is Marcus Anthony Jimenez and I live on the island of Okinawa, Japan. At the time of writing this I am currently 21 and about to be on my last year of college. My major is secondary teaching and I'm planning on teaching English at the High School level, hopefully 12th grade literature and language arts. I love making music, I consider myself to be a producer and I love trying to make hip hop beats with an acoustic or piano over the beat. I've recently gotten extremely good at music production even though I cannot read notes nor do I have any formal education in music besides a few years of guitar lessons.

I like to read and write which is why I've taken up the major that I have. My favorite author is Paulo Coelho and he is a big influence in my life. I've read all his books including his biography. I like to draw even though I'm not that good at it.

Some of the less educational things that I like to do are playing video games and watching movies. I consider myself to be a true fan of movies and I enjoy watching all types from action to horror, romance to comedy, and even foreign movies. I like to play shooter games and horror games such as Call of Duty, Battlefield, Dead Space, Dead Island, and Halo. I also enjoy playing MMO's although I find it hard to find any good ones seeing as I've already spent a lot of time playing World of Warcraft, which I regret as it was like having a 2nd job. I like playing Guild Wars 2 however my Mac has problems running it. The two computer games I currently play are Diablo 3 and League of Legends however I am waiting to beta test The Elder Scrolls Online and Warframe.

Professionally, I work as a produce worker at the Kadena Commissary and I really enjoy my job. It gives me a chance to be active in the community by socializing with the customers and the job is really active itself so I'm not standing behind a cash register bored out of my mind anymore.

That's about it for now so thank you for reading! I hope you continue enjoying and reading my blog as it progresses and as I fill up the pages with more writing.

Very Respectfully,

Marcus Jimenez
